This week, the band will present its annual jazz concert at the Crapo Park bandshell, featuring a jazz “big band” assembled from members of the Burlington Muni  Band and led by BHS band director Derrick Murphy. The jazz band’s performance will begin at 6:15 PM, preceding the regular concert and will feature some exciting “charts” that you won’t want to miss!   The conductor for this week’s regular 7:30 PM concert will be Janel Horn, band director at Burlington’s Edward Stone Middle School.  Janel’s concert will feature several new selections as well as old favorites.  All Muni Band concerts are family-friendly and free of charge.  Bring a lawn chair or a blanket or sit on provided benches.  In case of rain the concert will move to the James Madison Education Center auditorium at 2132 Madison Ave.
