The Winfield Crooked Creek Days continues today.  Breakfast is served from 7 to 10 am.  The JR Hewitt Memorial Car Show starts at 11 with the trophy presentation at 2:30.

The Trenton United Methodist Church  9:00 morning worship will be shared at 11:00 in the Trenton Park.  There will be familiar music, with food and fellowship after the service.  Bring a blanket or lawn chair, a friend or neighbor, your own table service and some food to share.  Whether you are coming home to Trenton, or visiting for the day, you are welcome to enjoy this time together.

St. Peter’s Church of Christ in Franklin, Iowa will serve a baked potato bar from 11 am to 1:30 pm at the Pilot Grove Bank community room in Donnellson.  There will be a variety of potato toppings plus maid rites, chicken sandwiches, pies, cakes, other desserts and drinks.  A free will donation will be asked.

The Des Moines County Master Gardeners are hosting a garden tour showcasing their recent volunteer projects at four sites in the Burlington area.  The gardens are located at 701 West Agency, West Burlington; the corner of South 7th Street and Angular Street in Burlington;North Street in Middletown between Park Street and Iowa Street and on Brooks Avenue of South Main in Kray-po Park in Burlington.
