It’s a great achievement to celebrate your 100^th birthday, but the celebration is twice the size when TWO people turn 100 on the same day! Parkview Home in Wayland has two residents turning 100 years old on the same day, June 22^nd. Betty Messer and Mary Olson also share their birthday with another resident turning the young age of 89 years. Trekfest 38 will be taking place this weekend. Riverside, Iowa is the birthplace of Star Trek’s Captain James T. Kirk. This is the 38’th year of the festival where people from all around the country descend on this hallowed place in Star Trek lore. People like  come from all over the country for the festival. Festivities start this Thursday at 7pm and end Saturday evening with
fireworks at 9pm and live music until 11pm.
