Henry County Public Health is having a walk-in COVID vaccine clinic from 9-1 at Iowa Wesleyan in the Howe student activity center.  Both Moderna and J&J Janssen vaccines will be available.

A Historic Downtown Walk runs in downtown Mount Pleasant from 5 to 7 pm.  To celebrate Historic Preservation Month, participating businesses will take a step in time and reflect the 1970’s.

In conjunction with Historic Preservation Month the Mt. Pleasant Historic Preservation Commission is present Fred and Deb Savage with an Historic Preservation Award for their work renovating Old City Hall.  The presentation will be made tonight at 6:30 pm followed by tours of the building one block west of Central Park.

The Henry County Conservation Department is hosting a free virtual outdoor cooking demonstration live at 7 pm on the Department’s Facebook page. The demonstration includes one dutch oven recipe, one pie iron method and one campfire cooking technique.  This is for all ages.

Southeastern Community College graduation schedule:  The West Burlington Nurse Pinning Ceremony is at 3 p.m. in Loren Walker Arena on the West Burlington Campus. Limit 4 guests. Face coverings required. The West Burlington Graduation is at 7 p.m. in Burlington Memorial Auditorium. No guest limit. Face coverings required. The College will practice social distancing at all sites. Graduates are asked to be lined up ready to go at their graduation site by 6:45 p.m.
