Henry County Public Health will be at the New London Community Center from 4:30 to 6:30 pm to give flu shots and covid vaccines.  These are not boosters.  The flu shots are $35 and the covid vaccine is free. This is for 18 years of age and older.

The Harlan Lincoln House on the IW campus presents Author and Biographer C.J. King. King will be in the University Chapel at 5 pm for a special presentation titled “The Spirited Lincoln Women.” The event is free and open to the public. Masks are required in all campus buildings.

Olson Powell Memorial Chapel is hosting a grief support session from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. Joan Rodgers will be the speaker.  This is open to anyone. It is the second of three sessions but it’s not necessary to attend all three.

Then Big Creek Tractor Club is holding a meeting at 7 pm at the Open Bible Church in Mount Pleasant. They will be discussing a soup supper and electing officers.  All are welcome.

The Mount Pleasant High School F.F.A. is doing a Feed the Farmer Project with the Iowa Corn Growers again this year. The chapter will be distributing meals on Saturday from 11am to 1 pm at Agri Center and at the Chem Gro  location in Salem location while supplies last. Even if it is too wet to be in the field, come by and get a free meal for your family or crew while you are working on machinery, working animals, or just taking a breather. Anyone who works in the agriculture industry is welcome!
