Access Energy Cooperative is holding the Annual Meeting of Members from 5p-7p in Mt. Pleasant’s McMillan Park with the business meeting starting at 7pm.   Registration includes meal tickets, a gift, a 2026 calendar and dividend checks.  Members can also vote for directors and register for prize drawings. Music by Jake McVey will set the tone for fun events including pony rides, snow cones, and inflatable activities and an information booth will be set up.

The Spring Run Church in Columbus Junction (24484 90th Street) invites all to an Ice Cream Social from 5p-7p.  Also on the menu: Hot Chicken Sandwiches, Beef Burgers, Potato Salad, Pie & Cakes!  Come on out for Homemade Ice Cream!  All is a Free Will Donation with proceeds going toward church missions!

The Harvest Day Parade is coming up on Wednesday, August 27th at 3:30pm in Mt. Pleasant, and all are invited to participate!  Floats, tractors, Old Threshers Miss Sweet Sixteen Contestants, Mt. Pleasant Marching bands, and more make up this annual parade that kicks off the 75th Midwest Old Threshers Reunion!
