Dexter Laundry and the LaundryCares Foundation are hosting a FREE Laundry & Literacy Day from 10-2. Fairfield Families can enjoy free laundry, free children’s books, backpacks filled with school supplies (while supplies last), kids activities, giveaways, food, and even a chance to win a year of free laundry.
The City of Mount Pleasant will hold a public hearing at 5:30 p.m. at Mount Pleasant City Hall, 307 East Monroe Street, regarding the proposed transfer of the historic Second Baptist Church property to Historic Second Baptist Church, Inc. The public is invited to attend and provide comments. Written comments may also be submitted to the City Clerk’s Office. Their regular monthly council meeting will follow the hearing.
