The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is hosting a series of town hall style meetings. The public is invited to come out, listen to the hunting seasons review, ask questions and hear directly from DNR staff.  One of these meetings will be held at Star’s Cave Nature Center near Burlington at 5 pm this evening.

A public storytelling event titled “Stories of Unknown Civil Rights Activists” will be hosted in the Iowa Wesleyan Howe Student Activity Center Social Hall at 7 pm. The public is invited to hear students, faculty and staff share stories about lesser known Civil Rights events and individuals. There will also be a reception at 6 pm with complimentary beverages and appetizers.  This event is part of Iowa Wesleyan University Black History Month events.
