The Mt. Pleasant Farmer’s Market under the Wright Family Pavilion at McMillan Park features local, fresh produce, crafts, baked goods and just about something new every week.  The Farmer’s Market is open from 4p-6p and on Saturday mornings from 8:30a-11a. 

VFW Post 7641 Auxiliary will sponsor a 4th of July Parade “Honoring Our Quilts of Valor” Friday, July 4th at 10 am in New London. The parade grand marshalls will be Quilt of Valor recipients. If you’d like to ride the QOV float contact the VFW at 319-367-5009. Top entries in Youth and Adult category will be awarded prizes. Entries may be picked up at the VFW Post home at 802 East McKinley and due back by July 2. Or email sniper2@mchsi.com to receive or enter.

It’s Mt. Pleasant Youth Softball/Baseball Night at Mapleleaf Athletic Complex! Wear your jersey, get in FREE, and join the Mt. Pleasant Varsity Baseball team on the field for intros and the National Anthem!!  Softball and Baseball players are encouraged to attend!  JV plays at 5:30pm and the Varsity game is at 7:30pm!

The Lee County Cattlemen will be grilling tonight from 5:30-8 pm (7-2-25) during the Houghton Softball games. After the games, Brendon Tapp will be the live music entertainment. Come on out and Kick off the 4th of July weekend!
