Ring in the New Year and watch the Iowa Hawkeyes play football on Wednesday, January 1st at VFW Post 7641 in New London, beginning at 10:30 a.m. The post will have chili and snacks available for the Iowa Bowl Game. Complimentary Tom and Jerry’s will be served starting at 10 a.m., followed by corned beef and cabbage at noon. A free will donation will be accepted.

All are welcome to watch the Iowa Hawkeyes play football today at the Mt. Pleasant Vets Hall, 300 W. Monroe Street from 10:30am – 4pm! The watch party is a free will donation and homemade chili will be served! Cheer on the Hawkeyes as they face Vanderbilt in the ReliaQuest Bowl!

The Henry County Treasurer’s Office is open from 8am – 4:30pm; however all other Henry County Courthouse offices have shortened hours as we ring in the New Year! The Auditors’, Recorders, Assessors, and H.C. Attorney’s offices will be open from 8am – Noon today. All offices are closed on Thursday, January 1st.
