The Mount Pleasant city compost site is open from 8 am to 5 pm on Saturdays and 1 to 6 pm on Wednesdays.  The site is located on Yocum Lane behind Saunders Park.

The Henry Co Historic Preservation Commission will meet Wednesday June 15 at 1:00 pm at the courthouse.   Lynn Conrad will report on the status of the Oakland Mills K-Line RR depot preservation project.  Larry D. Roth will be providing an update on the historic residential district nomination project in Wayland.  The public is invited.

Mount Pleasant Farmer’s Market from 4 to 6 pm at McMillan Park under Wright Pavilion.

Community members are encouraged to attend a public information meeting hosted by Main Street Mount Pleasant.  The meeting will be held at 7 pm on the third floor of the Union Block at 111 West Monroe.  The first five to ten minutes will be an information session about the Main Street program. After that people may share any ideas they have for promotions, festival, new businesses, decorations, etc.

The Mount Pleasant Library is hosting Magician Makayla Oz at 1 pm in the former AEA offices, follow the signs. Free and open to the public!
