The Mount Pleasant compost site is open on Wednesdays from noon to 5 pm. Please note this is a change in the Wednesday schedule.  The site is located behind Saunders Park at the west end of Yocum Lane.

The Mount Pleasant Farmers Market will be held in McMillan Park under Wright Pavilion from 4 to 6 pm.

Iowa Wesleyan University is hosting the Chamber’s monthly Alive After 5 event from 5 to 7 pm in the Howe Student Activity Center Social Hall.  Chamber members, their employees and guests are invited to attend.  Please use the southwest doors.

Olson Powell Memorial Chapel is hosting a free grief information series from 5:30 to 6:30 pm and again October 12 from 5:30 to 6:30 pm  at the Chapel in Mount Pleasant on Mapleleaf Drive.  The sessions are for anyone who wants to know about grief.
