Fire At Sawmill on Kentucky Avenue

Just after 1 pm Mount Pleasant Fire Department was paged out to the Batey Limited Sawmill on Kentucky Avenue South of Mount Pleasant. The initial report indicated it was about 3 piles of lumber that were on fire and not the building.  By 1:30 pm a second crew and mutual aid were called for. More details as they become available.
