The Iowa Department of Natural Resources, Food Bank of Iowa, and 34 participating meat lockers across the state of Iowa combine to contribute to the Help Us Stop Hunger or HUSH program. Hunters can drop off their harvested deer as a donation and the processed venison will go to families in need. Last year, over 2200 deer were donated, generating approximately 520,000 meals for Iowans. For a complete list of participating meat lockers, please access the Iowa DNR Website.
