Marjorie “Johnny” Foster

Marjorie Joyce “Johnny” Foster, 92, of Burlington, died Saturday, August 31, 2024 at her home.  She was born in Lowell, Iowa on November 30, 1931 to William Lee and Laura V. Thornburg Pickle.  She attended Denmark High School.  She married Carl Foster and they later divorced.

She was a Grand Lodge Representative for the International Association of Machinists for many years.  Johnny was very active in the Democratic party; enjoyed cooking, visiting friends, and especially loved her family.  She had an incredible knack for knowing what a person wanted and thoroughly enjoyed gifting you with it.

According to her wishes her body has been cremated and there will be no services.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  Elliott Chapel, New London, is assisting the family and online condolences may be left at www.elliottfuneral.com.
