The City of Mount Pleasant has announced the seasonal reopening of its compost site and the return of curbside yard waste collection.
The City Compost Site, located at 700 West Yocum Lane, southwest of Saunders Park at the end of Yocum Lane and Hoaglin Drive, will open for the season on Wednesday, April 1st. The site will be open Wednesdays from 1 to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the summer months.
Curbside yard waste collection will also resume on Friday, April 3rd. Residents are reminded to contact City Hall by noon on the Thursday prior to their scheduled pickup to request service.
