The Mt. Pleasant Community School District Board of Directors will hold a regular session meeting tonight at 6pm in the high school media center.
In addition to personnel and open enrollment consent items, the School Board will also review the annual bus propane contract, a bus rental agreement with First Presbyterian Church, and an infinite campus end user agreement. They will also have a discussion regarding annual policy review.
Other agenda highlights include the Superintendent’s Report, by new superintendent, Sharon Dentlinger, discussing the Fiscal Year 2027 Education Support Personnel Funding Amounts which decreased from $14 million in 2025-2026 to $7 million in 2027; professional development opportunities offered to them through the Iowa Association of School Boards; and possibly creating a local professional development training session.
The Board will also give an update on the District Office relocating to Central Campus—noting that workers moved non-essential furniture and equipment last week. The District Office will remain open for business, apologizes for any disruptions, and looks forward to welcoming everyone to their new facility in August. If community members have specific questions about registration, please e-mail Cindy Smith at cindy.smith@mtpcsd.org and for all other questions e-mail Teresa Owens at teresa.owens@mtpcsd.org.
