Tammy Lynn Cooper

Tammy Lynn Cooper 62 of Milton, Iowa passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday, September 24th, 2022.

Tammy was born in Corydon, Iowa on July 25,  1960 to Garold and Marilyn (Thatcher) Warren. She was united in marriage to Gordon Oliver in  October of 1975. Together they were blessed with five children; Paul, Leanne, Traci, Dennis and Melonie.  She later married Gary Cooper in November of 2004 and was blessed with three step-children, Gracie, Frances, and Gina.

For all of her adult life Tammy was a homemaker and her greatest joys in life were her children and especially her 13 grandchildren. Her number one summer chore was making sure the swimming pool was ready for all to swim in and working in her yard, keeping it beautiful. She was known by many names, Tammy, Mom, Wife, Daughter, but her greatest title was Mamma.

Tammy loved to have family meals when all of her children and grandchildren would cram into the house. There was always the smell of smoked meat and the sound of laughter coming from their home. Tammy’s sense of humor was one of a kind. She loved nothing more than to prank her children and grandchildren and they loved nothing more than to prank her back. Her children and grandchildren were the apple of her eye, but her time spent with her husband Gary was very special to her. Early in their marriage they loved to hunt and fish together. Tammy and Gary would often be seen mowing their property on their matching zero turn mowers. On the weekends they enjoyed traveling and trying out new restaurants, but most of all just spending time together.

Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Garold Warren, mothers in-Law Francis Haltom and Evelyn Cooper, brothers-in-law Fred Schmidt and Dustin Cooper, and the father of her children, Gordon Oliver.

Tammy is survived by her Husband, Gary Cooper of Milton, IA., Children, Paul (Katherine) Oliver of Tipton, IA., Leanne (Guy) Posielenzny of Arbor Vitae, WI., Traci (Chris) Adkins of Libertyville IA, Dennis (Deanna) Oliver of Princeton, IL. Grandchildren, Madyson, Chloe, Olivia, Drake, Logan, Delilah, Hannah, Hunter, Burkleigh, Moria, Charlie, Dawson and Sebastian. Many brothers and sisters in law, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and all those she left behind who loved her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Lacey State Park Lodge in Keosauqua, Iowa on October 15, 2022 at 1PM.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be sent in honor of her grandchildren to Leanne Posielenzny, PO Box 751, Woodruff, WI. 54568.
