Valkommen til Swedesburg! The Swedish Heritage Society is proud to share their historic building rehabilitation with the community at an open house at the Swedish American Museum on Saturday, July 17th from 12 to 3pm. The contractor will be present to demonstrate aspects of the rehabilitation to include care of aged wood, determining wood replacement criteria and historic window repair. Two of the museum complex buildings, The Bergh Tinsmith Shop and the General Store have undergone extensive external work over the past few months. The museum and gift shop are now open for tours and shopping on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, 12-4. For more information call 319-254-2317.
