Trevor Layne Brown, 43, of Mount Pleasant died Saturday, January 15, 2022, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City following a brief battle with cancer.
Trevor was born March 10, 1978, in Mount Pleasant, the son of Marty and Donna (McDonald) Brown. He graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in 1996. He worked for HCM Plastics of Fairfield for the last 18 years. He was a lifelong Hawkeye, Cowboys and St. Louis Cardinal fan. He loved to be outdoors hunting, fishing or golfing. He loved his nieces and nephews and attending their activities.
Trevor is survived by his parents, Marty and Donna Brown; a sister, Monica (Jim) Mueller; a brother, Chris (Cherie) Brown; his grandmother, Mary Brown all of Mount Pleasant; nieces and nephews, Brea, Will, and Josh Mueller, Adelynn, Maggie and Emarann Brown; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joe and Ruth McDonald; and paternal grandfather Darrel Brown.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm Saturday, January 22, 2022, at the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel where the family will greet friends from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. There will be no formal service. Inurnment will be at a later date in the St. Alphonsus Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established to help with Trevor’s medical expenses.
