On Saturday at about 5:30 pm the Mount Pleasant Police were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident in the 100 block of West Washington Street. Upon investigation, it was determined that a Jeep operated by Rosita De La Rosa of Mount Pleasant, was traveling south in the 100 block of South Jefferson Street. She made an improper left-hand turn to travel east on Washington Street. While turning, her vehicle struck a vehicle operated by Justin Morgan of Mount Pleasant which was stopped at the stop light on West Washington Street at the intersection of Jefferson Street. The De La Rosa vehicle struck the front driver side bumper of Morgan vehicle. As a result of this investigation, Morgan was charged with driving while barred.
