An Ottumwa man is facing multiple charges after the discovery of a missing girl.
Tuesday just after 4:30 a.m., the Ottumwa Police Department was notified that an 11-year-old child was missing. She was found and deemed safe just before 9:30 AM that morning.
The incident is being investigated and as a result, 48-year-old Peter Frederic Serrer of Ottumwa, was detained. Serrer has been charged with criminal child endangerment that resulted in physical harm and neglect or abandonment of a dependent person.
Serrer is being detained in the Wapello County Jail without bond until he can see the magistrate.
