Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant has scheduled a “Welcome to Medicare” seminar on Tuesday, September 22nd. The seminar will begin at 6:30pm and you must register by Friday, September 11th. HCHC cautions citizens to be aware of Medicare fraud and scams (SMP). Be aware of phone calls from unknown numbers pretending to be from Medicare or Social Security and asking for your information. If you feel you have been contacted by a scammer, reach out to SHIIP or SMP – they can help report the incident and get a new Medicare number.
