The Mt. Pleasant High School Music Department is hosting the 32nd annual Music in Motion Show Choir Invitational!  The event is held at the Mt. Pleasant High School, 2104 S. Grand Avenue.  Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for students K-12, ages 5 and under are free.  The admission is for day performances and finals.  Music in Motion will perform in exhibition at around 10pm.  Click here: Music in Motion Program for all of the Show Choir Invitational information including performance times, food menu, and more.

The Southeast Iowa Symphony Orchestra and Burlington Civic Music will present “Voices of Light,” an orchestra and choral performance set to the silent film masterpiece The Passion of Joan of Arc, on Saturday, February 7, at 7 p.m. at The Capitol, 211 North Third Street in Burlington. The evening includes a pre-concert social with appetizers at 5:30 p.m. at the Art Center, located at 301 Jefferson Street, with auditorium doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Guests are encouraged to arrive early for best seating. The film begins at 7 p.m. and will be followed by a reception at the Art Center. General admission tickets are $50 and available at seiso.us. This event is recommended for ages 12 and up.

New London Girl Scout Troop 1601 will have cookie booths set up at at the Mt. Pleasant WalMart from 9am-12 today.  On Sunday, they will be selling cookies at the Mt. Pleasant HyVee Food Store from 8am – noon, and 1pm – 7pm.  On Sunday afternoon, they will also have a cookie booth at the MP WalMart from 2pm – 7pm.
