The Friends of Henry County Health Center are hosting a Paperpie Children’s Book Fair in the Main Lobby of the hospital from 9am – 5pm today and from 9am – 2pm on Thursday (5/21/26).  Explore a wonderful selection of engaging children’s books – perfect for encouraging a love of reading for children of all ages!

The Mt. Pleasant Farmer’s Market is open from 4pm – 6pm under the Wright Family Pavilion in McMillian Park!  The market is also open from 8:30am – 11am on Saturday mornings.  The Mt. Pleasant Farmer’s Market features a wide variety of produce, baked goods, and more!

DMC Regional Waste offers both a main drop-off site and mobile recycling options on Wednesdays. Residents can recycle items, including rechargeable batteries, at multiple locations. The main drop-off site at 1000 West Washington Street in Mount Pleasant is open from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Mobile recycling will also be available in New London at the Town Square from 8:15 to 11:30 AM, and in Danville at City Hall from 1:30 to 3:00 PM. For more information, visit dmcwaste.org.
