Congratulations to the Mt. Pleasant Christian School Class of 2026 as they celebrate graduation today.

The Mt. Pleasant Public Library is opening registration for the Summer Reading Program 2026 today!  The “Plant a Seed, Read” program registration continues through June 1st.  The program is from June 1st through July 2nd.  There are special programs planned throughout the summer at the library, 307 E. Monroe Street.

The Mt. Pleasant Farmer’s Market is open from 8:30am – 11am DOWNTOWN MOUNT PLEASANT THIS WEEKEND ONLY!  The market is also open from 4pm-6pm on Wednesday afternoons.  The Mt. Pleasant Farmer’s Market features a wide variety of produce, baked goods, and more!

The Mt. Pleasant Kiwanis is serving breakfast from 6:30am – 10:15am at the Wright Family Pavilion in McMillian Park!  Kick off a day of treasure hunting at the Greater Iowa Swap Meet & Flea Market and picking up goodies from the Farmer’s Market with Gourmet UNLIMITED Pancakes and coffee.  $10/adults, $6/kids 5-12, and a breakfast burrito is $8.

The Greater Iowa Swap Meet & Flea Market kicks from 7am 3pm at McMillan Park in Mt. Pleasant! Crafts, tractor, car, & motorcycle parts, flea market and so much more!

The Farmhouse Central Vintage Market in Central Park, downtown Mt. Pleasant, is open from 9am – 3pm!  The Vintage Market features over 40 vendors, food, beverages and lots of fun treasures!

Celebrate the 180th Birthday of Arebella Babb Mansfield from 1pm – 3pm in Central Park, downtown Mt. Pleasant!  The Henry County Bar Association invites to you live music, free cake, and a little history about the 1st certified woman attorney in the United States.

The Lockridge Veterans Association invites all to the Memorial Day Program at the Lockridge Community Building starting with breakfast at 8am.  The program begins at 8:45am with POW/MIA recognition, notices of Memorial Wall updates, and the main program: A Reminder: “Freedom Isn’t Free”.

City Wide Garage Sales are being held in Bonaparte from 8am – 4pm!
