DMC Regional Waste’s main drop-off location at 1000 West Washington Street in Mount Pleasant is open Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Residents can drop off recyclables and rechargeable batteries during these hours.

Henry County Heritage Trust, 403 W. Madison Street in Mt. Pleasant, is holding a Tag Sale (mostly books) from 9am – 1pm.  The Heritage Center Museum is open on Saturdays from 1pm – 4pm, the IW Archives Room is open on Mondays from 10am – 2pm and the Van Allen House is open on the first Saturday of each month from 1pm – 4pm.

The 1st Assembly of God Church in Washington, Iowa, is hosting a Men’s Retreat: No One Left Behind for those ages 13 and older.  The retreat begins on Friday, May 22nd at 4:30pm and ends on Saturday, May 23rd at 2pm.
