The Mount Pleasant city compost site is open from 8 am to 5 pm on Saturdays and 1 to 6 pm on Wednesdays.  The site is located on Yocum Lane behind Saunders Park.

The Henry County rural garbage collection site on West Washington Street is closed until it re-opens April 5 for new extended hours. Also, please note, there will not be bulk item collection this weekend as previously posted.

The New London Lions Club will be doing their Red Barn Breakfast Fundraiser on April 2, 2022 at the New London Clark Elementary from 6:30 am – 10:30 am.

Enjoy a Night With the Stars at the New London High School auditorium. There are two Saturday performances….at 2 pm and 7 pm.

Mount Pleasant Music Program presents the annual Dessert Theatre at 7 pm at the High School and on Sunday, April 3 at 2 pm at the High School. Bleacher seating without dessert is available at the door for $5.00.  The Middle School Show Choir performs Sunday only.

The 4th Annual Bonaparte Music Bonanza will be held in the gym of the Bonaparte Community Improvement Building.  Showtime is 7 pm.  Doors open at 5:30 pm for a soup supper in the cafeteria. A free will donation is asked for the soup supper. Show tickets are $15.00 at the door and no reserved seating. Proceeds benefit the upkeep of the Community Improvement Building.
