Several Henry County 4-H members are being recognized for the outstanding work they have completed this year, with a number of static exhibits now moving on to the Iowa State Fair.
During the Henry County Fair awards ceremony, 4-H officials recognized the graduating senior members of the program. The seniors were honored for the time, dedication, leadership, and service they have contributed throughout their 4-H careers.
This year’s graduating 4-H members include Carter Adams, Beatrice Anderson, Grant Anderson, Roen Bailey, Jacie Campbell, Gabe Cummings, Piper Faler, Ella Kann, Alexa Lair, Landon Lair, Megan Lee, Zenlynn Lee, Zoe Long, Morgan Meyer, Katie Miller, Lennon Scott, Lily Syfert, and Mason Yocum.
The ceremony also recognized exhibitors whose projects were selected to advance to the Iowa State Fair. Those static exhibits represent some of the highest-quality work completed by Henry County 4-H members this year and highlight their creativity, knowledge, and dedication.
In addition to the State Fair selections, several 4-H members received Outstanding Project Awards for their accomplishments in specific project areas.
The Outstanding Agriculture and Natural Resources Project Award was awarded to Ainsley Hudson.
The Outstanding Photography Project Award was awarded to Kylie Loyd.
The Outstanding Visual Arts Project Award went to Ella Kann.
The Outstanding Clothing Project Award was awarded to Taryn Brown.
The Outstanding Food and Nutrition Project Award went to Matilda Anderson.
The Outstanding Home Improvement Project Award was awarded to Beatrice Anderson.
The Outstanding Personal Development Project Award was presented to Mila Howard.
The Outstanding Science, Engineering and Technology Project Award went to Ava Kempker.
Congratulations were extended to all Henry County 4-H members for their hard work and accomplishments during this year’s fair.
