Two Keokuk men face drug charges following a traffic stop in Lee County.

The Lee County Narcotics Task Force reports Cole Sage, 26, and Tyler Land, 30, were arrested following a stop conducted by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office on July 25th.

A certified K-9 reportedly alerted to the odor of narcotics during an open-air sniff of the vehicle. A subsequent search uncovered approximately 45.7 grams of marijuana, 39.2 grams of marijuana wax, multiple THC vape products and additional marijuana concentrate.

Sage is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and failure to affix a drug tax stamp, both class D felonies, along with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Land is charged with first-offense possession of marijuana, a serious misdemeanor.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Narcotics Task Force with the investigation. All charges are accusations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
