New London residents in a portion of the community will experience an emergency water shutoff Tuesday morning as crews repair a water main break on West Main Street.
Water service in the affected area will be shut off beginning at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2026, and will remain off until repairs are completed.
The affected area includes a portion of West Main Street between Pine Street and Orchard Lane including sections on Spruce Lane, North Poplar Street, and Sunset Drive. Residents should refer to the city’s map of the approximate affected area to determine whether their property will be impacted shown here.
The city says crews will work diligently to restore water service as quickly as possible and apologizes for the inconvenience. Residents are asked to be patient while the emergency repairs are completed. Anyone with questions can call the city of New London at 319-367-7702.
