Two Minnesota Residents Arrested Following Riverside Welfare Check

Two Minnesota residents were arrested on drug charges following a welfare check in Riverside Monday afternoon.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 100 block of Enterprise Drive shortly after 3:30 p.m. The department’s activity log states a caller requested a welfare check on someone reportedly acting strangely outside a building.

Deputies arrested Habiib Abdifatah Yusuf, 24, of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. Yusuf is charged with second-offense possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Alexas Marie Minter, 27, of Saint Louis Park, Minnesota, was also arrested. Minter is charged with first-offense possession of marijuana, first-offense possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The charges are accusations, and both defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
