Readers of all ages can enjoy a good book with a four-legged friend during the “Dog Days of Summer” in Mount Pleasant.
The Mount Pleasant Public Library and All God’s Creatures Animal Shelter have teamed up to provide visitors with canine reading buddies as the new school year approaches.
Participants can stop by the shelter, choose a book and spend some time reading to a furry friend in the community room. Word on the street is, you may even get to beat the heat with a cold, sweet treat!
The program runs from 1 to 4 p.m. each day through Saturday, August 15, at All God’s Creatures, located at 2205 East Washington Street in Mount Pleasant.
