A rural Salem man was airlifted following an ATV accident Monday morning in Henry County.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call at approximately 7:45 a.m. reporting an injured man near the intersection of Lexington Avenue and 335th Street.
An investigation determined Kyle Shinkle, 28, was traveling north on Lexington Avenue when he lost control of the ATV and entered the north ditch.
Shinkle was taken from the scene by MedForce helicopter. Henry County Ambulance and Salem Fire and Rescue assisted at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
