Prep Football- With the 2026 Iowa High School Football season getting ready to kick off next week and scrimmages playing out throughout the state tonight, here’s a look at our local team’s upcoming schedule and last year’s results for Class 2A District 6. Week one will kickoff on Friday, August 28th.
Mediapolis: 5-5 (3-3) qualified for playoffs last year
Week 1: Mt. Pleasant (Home) at 7:30 pm. Last Year: Lost 17-14.
Week 2: Keokuk (Away) at 7 pm. Last Year: Fell 27-14.
Week 3: Fairfield (Home) at 7:30 pm. Last Year: Won 42-34 as Parker Holsteen darted for 207 yards and four touchdowns.
Week 4: West Burlington/Notre Dame (Home) at 7 pm. Last Year: Clipped the Falcons 28-21 as Holsteen took off for 172 yards and two scores.
Week 5: Wilton (Away) at 7 pm. Last Year: Lost 42-14.
Week 6: West Liberty (Away) at 7 pm. Last Year: Won 16-14 as Holsteen scampered for 166 yards and two touchdowns.
Week 7: Mid-Prairie (Home) at 7:30 pm. Last Year: Lost 62-21 and 46-0 in playoffs.
Week 8: Central Lee (Away) at 7 pm. Last Year: Shutout the Hawks 35-0 as the defense forced four takeaways.
West Burlington/Notre Dame: 3-5 (1-4) last year
Week 1: Danville (Away) at 7 pm. Last Year: Beat Danville 19-13 behind Jayden Nanthan’s 196 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
Week 2: Fort Madison (Home) at 7 pm. Last Year: Beat Fort Madison 32-13 as Nanthan galloped for 346 yards and three scores.
Week 3: Keokuk (Home) at 7 pm. Last Year: Lost 34-14.
Week 4: Mediapolis (Away) at 7 pm. Last Year: Lost 28-21.
Week 5: Central Lee (Homecoming) at 7 pm. Last Year: Defeated the Hawks 27-15 behind Kellen Porter’s 152 passing yards and two touchdowns.
Week 6: Wilton (Away) at 7 pm. Last Year: Lost 36-14.
Week 7: West Liberty (Home) at 7 pm. Last Year: Lost 43-0.
Week 8: Mid-Prairie (Away) at 7:15 pm. Last Year: Lost 59-0.
