The 78th annual Tri-State Rodeo in Ft. Madison, Iowa is around the corner – officially starting on Wednesday, September 9th and running through September 12th!  There are pre-rodeo activities planned for today:

• Little Spurs Rodeo at 10am (registration opens at 8:30am)
• Pork Dinner from 5pm – 7pm at the Rodeo Grounds
• Lil Miss Rodeo and All-Around Cowboy at 6:30pm in the C.E. “Eddie” Richards Arenda.

The Midwest Old Threshers Reunion in Mt. Pleasant closes today at McMillian Park, South of Mt. Pleasant!  Tour the grounds on a steam powered train, take the trolley to the log village and enjoy re-enactments from the past, catch up with train robbers and shoot outs in the North Village, and lots of great food, antiques, tractors, and much more.  Admission for children 10 and under is free and $15 for one day. For a complete list of events and daily programs, access the Old Threshers website: www.oldthreshers.org
