Central Lee Alum Appointed District Court Judge

Gov. Kim Reynolds Thursday announced her appointment of Justin Lightfoot as a district court judge in Judicial District 6. 

 Lightfoot, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, currently serves as the Criminal Division Chief of the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Iowa. Lightfoot, the son of Gary and Marge Light, of Donnellson, graduated from Central Lee High School. He went on to receive his undergraduate degree from Iowa State University and his law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law, with high distinction. 

 Lightfoot fills the vacancy created by the retirement of District Court Judge Patrick Grady. Judicial District 6 includes Benton, Iowa, Johnson, Jones, Linn, and Tama counties.
