Des Moines — National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced the annual Team Academic Excellence Awards along with the 2020-21 NABC Honors Court.
The Grand View men’s basketball team was a part of this group with a team grade point average (GPA) of 3.3. To be named a Team of Academic Excellence the team must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better for the 2020-21 season.
The Vikings had 11 players — anchored by former Mount Pleasant standout Brady Sartorius — from last year’s roster that were named to the NABC Honors Court for the 2020-21 season. Each player must meet the below qualifications:
- Academically a junior or senior and a varsity player.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2020-21 academic year.
- Students must have matriculated at least one year at their current institution.
Grand View finished last year 11-12.
