College Football: Drake Smashes in Season Opener

Des Moines — The Drake University football team rolled to a 35-0 lead in the first half and never looked back as they defeated West Virginia Wesleyan 45-3.

Quarterback Ian Corwin threw for 180 yards and touchdown, while rushing for two additional scores.

Cross Robinson had 100 yards on the ground on 13 totes.

Former Mount Pleasant standout Kieran Kohorst finished with a two tackles including one for loss.

The Bulldogs, now 1-0, will take on Montana State next Saturday night on the road.
