The Children’s Discovery Center at the Mt. Pleasant Public Library is open from 10am – 12pm where there is something to discover for all ages!  The library opens at 9am and the children’s section has books for all ages and lots of interactive games and things to do!  The Children’s Discovery Center will be open on Monday, April 13 from 12pm – 2pm.

City of Mount Pleasant curbside yard waste collection is underway. Pickup takes place on Fridays, and residents must contact City Hall by noon on Thursday to be added to the list. To schedule a pickup, call 319-385-1470.

DMC Regional Waste’s main drop-off location at 1000 West Washington Street in Mount Pleasant is open Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Residents can drop off recyclables and rechargeable batteries during these hours.

The Houghton Knights of Columbus Fish Fry is from 5pm – 7:30pm at the KC Hall!  Whole Catfish, Fish Fillets, or Jumbo Shrimp with two sides are on the menu.  Carryout is available by calling 319-469-2641.
