The Washington County 4-H Pancake Breakfast fundraiser is from 7am – 10:30am in the basement of Dallmeyer Hall on the fairgrounds.  All proceeds go toward the 4-H enrollment fees for Washington County 4-Hers.  Dine in, drive through and carry out orders are available.  The breakfast is held in conjunction with the IJBBA Open Cattle Show which starts at 11am.  The show is free and open to the public.

The New London Lion’s Club is serving breakfast from 7am – 10am at the New London Clark Elementary Cafeteria.  Enjoy biscuits & gravy, sausage, eggs, hashbrowns, and pancakes!  The meal is a free will offering and you can take breakfast to-go!  All proceeds to toward community support and needs.

The Henry County Nature Center opens for the season today! Hours are 9am – noon at 2591 Nature Center Drive. For more information, follow this LINK

The City of Mount Pleasant Compost Site at 700 West Yocum Lane is open for the season. Hours are Wednesdays from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The site is located southwest of Saunders Park at the end of Yocum Lane and Hoaglin Drive. The Mt. Pleasant Public Library’s Children’s Discovery Center is open from 10am – 12pm today, where there is something for everyone to discover!  The Children’s Discover Center is also open on Monday from 12pm – 2pm.

Mount Pleasant Community Theatre will present The Play That Goes Wrong! on Saturday, April 18 at 2:00 p.m., and Sunday, April 19 at 7:00 p.m. Enjoy a night of nonstop comedy as everything that can go wrong… does. Join local performers for this hilarious production right here in Mount Pleasant.

Join All God’s Creatures for a Spay-Ghetti Dinner & Trivia Night at the Mt. Pleasant Moose Lodge, 108 Saunders Avenue.  Dinner will be served from 5p – 6:30p with trivia starting at 6:45pm. Gather your team of 6-8 people, $80 per table and have an evening of fun and friendly competition.  All proceeds go to the trap, neuter, and release fund.

Central Lee High School presents: Disney’s “Frozen – The Broadway Musical”!  Join us for a magical weekend as our students bring Frozen to life on stage!  Show times are 7pm tonight and a matinee at 2pm Sunday afternoon. The high school is at 2642 Hwy 218, Donnellson.

Prom season continues today with Washington and Winfield-Mt. Union holding their dances. Enjoy the night and stay safe.
