City of Mount Pleasant curbside yard waste collection is underway. Pickup takes place on Fridays, and residents must contact City Hall by noon on Thursday to be added to the list. To schedule a pickup, call 319-385-1470.

DMC Regional Waste’s main drop-off location at 1000 West Washington Street in Mount Pleasant is open Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Residents can drop off recyclables and rechargeable batteries during these hours.

The Salem Farmers Market is open from 4:30pm – 7:30pm on the west side of Salem City park!  The farmers market is open the first and third Friday of the month through September 18!

Pool Passes and tickets books to the Mt. Pleasant Aquatic Center go on sale TODAY!  Individual passes are $75, Family summer passes are $150 (2-5 members, $10 for each additional family member).  Ten ticket – Ticket Books are $30 and 25 ticket – Ticket Books are $60.  Passes and Ticket Books can be purchased at Mt. Pleasant City Hall, 307 E. Monroe Street.
