The Winfield City-Wide Sales are taking place today and Saturday.

The 38th Annual Birmingham Homecoming weekend kicks off with the tenderloin supper at 5 pm.  The Prince and Princess contest will be held at 5:30 pm and free BINGO starts at 6 pm.

Denmark Heritage Days begins with the town wide garage sales at 8 am and then live music in the Shelter House by Stump Town at 7 pm.  Registration opens at 7 am for anyone wanting to bring a tractor or gas engine to display.

The Friends of HCHC and Mount Pleasant Arts Impact are hosting the 3rd Annual Colors of Summer Art Show.  The opening reception will be held in the Iowa Wesleyan University Art Gallery located in the P.E.O. Building from 5:30 to 7 pm.  Funds raised from opening reception ticket sales will benefit the Friends of HCHC.  The show will be on display until June 30.
