The Henry County fair is still in full swing! Here’s what’s on the agenda for today:
- 7:00am – 9:00am Farm Service/Agriland Breakfast (WP)
- 8:00am Swine Show- A livestock competition where local 4-H and FFA youth exhibit their market and breeding pigs.
- 11:00am Rabbit Show- An annual 4-H and FFA event where youth exhibit purebred commercial and fancy rabbits, as well as meat pens.
- 1:00pm Poultry Show- An agricultural competition where local 4-H and FFA youth showcase their raised poultry projects. Exhibitors are judged on showmanship, bird quality, and flock management, with categories including breeding birds, egg-layers, meat production, and fun costume contests.
- 4:00pm Working Exhibits- A 4-H communication event where youth teach, demonstrate, or show an audience how to do something
- 5:30pm Share the Fun- A non-competitive performing arts and talent showcase.
- 6:00pm Clover Kid Graduation Ceremony- Celebrates 4-H members who have completed the non-competitive Clover Kids program and are transitioning into the traditional 4-H program as 4th graders.
- 7:30pmThe Hype- A high-energy 1980s glam rock tribute band, Tickets $20!

The Salem Farmers Market is open from 4:30pm – 7:30pm on the west side of Salem City Park. The farmers market is open on the first and third Friday of the month through September 18!
Reminder that the Children’s Discovery Center will be closed this July- It will re-open on August 3rd!
