The Bonaparte Spring Festival Sales and Citywide garage sales are taking place today thru Sunday2. The garage sales start at 8 am and the shops are open 9 am to 5 pm.  All the shops are open, there will be a large selection of vendors and city-wide garage sales thru out the town and there will be a food truck.

The Mt. Pleasant Kiwanis Breakfast runs from 6 to 10:15 am during the Greater Iowa Swap Meet.  The meal is at the Wright Family Pavillion at McMillan Park.  It features gourmet unlimited pancakes and coffee.  It includes sausage patty, eggs, milk or juice.  Adults are $7, kids 5 to 12 are $3.

The Greater Iowa Swap Meet and Flea Market is at McMillan Park in Mount Pleasant today.  There is free admission and parking.

The Friday night races at the Lee County Speedway in Donnellson have been cancelled.

Mount Pleasant City offices are closed May 31.  Garbage collection will be one day later next week.
