Today is the deadline to register for the farmland leasing meeting that will be held at the Henry County Extension office on August 24. Contact the Extension Office at 319-385-8126 for information and registration. A $20 fee per individual is payable at the door the day of the meeting.

The Winfield Mt. Union Back to School Supply Night and Meet the Players that was postponed has been rescheduled for tonight. Supply Night is from 5 to 6 pm, supper and kids carnival from 5 to 7 pm and Meet the Players at 7 pm.

Back to School events are taking place in the Wapello District.  The elementary back to school night will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.  6th grade orientation starts at 6 pm.  Back to School Night at the Jr. High and High School will be held from 6 to 7 pm.

Welcome back night at the Mount Pleasant Community Middle School from 4-6 p.m. Meet your teachers, locate your classrooms, receive your locker number and combination, bring your school supplies, meet the staff, and have a jump start on the first day of school! Come and Go structure between 4 & 6.
