The Mt. Pleasant Children’s Discovery Center is open from 12pm – 2pm at 307 E. Monroe Street next to the Mt. Pleasant Public Library!  There is something to discover for children of all ages. The Children’s Discovery Center is also open on Friday from 10am – 12pm.

Community Action of Southeast Iowa has requested soups for their food pantry: soup mixes or canned soup make a simple, quick, warm meal.  Items can be dropped off in Mt. Pleasant on Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday from 8am:30am – 4pm at 1303 W Washington St.  Community Action of Southeast Iowa also has locations in Ft. Madison, Keokuk, Burlington, and Columbus Junction.

ImpactLife will host a blood drive at the Morning Sun Community Building on Monday, January 26, 2026, from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. The blood drive will take place in the large room at the Morning Sun Community Building, located at 106 North Main Street in Morning Sun.
