The AGC Easter Egg Hunt will be held Saturday, March 28th beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the McCoid Shelter in East Lake Park in Mount Pleasant. Children will be divided into three age groups including ages 0 to 5, 6 to 10, and 11 to 13. The Easter Bunny will also be on site for an Easter photo booth, and an Easter basket raffle will be held with tickets available for one dollar each. Raffle winners will be announced at 11 a.m. A free will donation will be accepted.
The MPCHS Music Mattress Fundraiser will take place on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Central Campus Gym. This one day event helps high school music students raise supplemental funds for upcoming trips, including a four day band and choir trip to Chicago in May. Hosted by Custom Fundraising Solutions Eastern Iowa Central Illinois, the sale will feature quality name brands such as Simmons, Beautyrest, and Therapedic mattresses priced below retail. Admission is free, and community members are invited to get a better night’s sleep while supporting local music students.
The Presbyterian Women are holding their annual Spring Rummage and Bake Sale from 8am to 1pm with the $2-a-Bag Sale from 11am – 1pm. All sales will be held in the Fellowship Hall at the First Presbyterian Church (902 S Walnut St, Mt Pleasant, IA).
Soroptimist International of Fort Madison will host its annual Princess Tea Party on Saturday, March 28, at the Quality Inn in Fort Madison. Children will enjoy refreshments, crafts, take-home goodies, and optional professional photos. Sessions are 9 to 11 a.m. for ages 3 to 5 and 1 to 3 p.m. for ages 6 and up, and each child must be accompanied by an adult. The cost is $25 per person, and registration is required by February 27. Pete’s Legacy will host an event advocating for suicide prevention on Saturday, March 28 at 10 a.m. at Wesley Chapel, located at 601 N. Main on the MPCSD Central Campus. Guest speakers will include Katie Curtis of Foundation 2 and John Thompson of Salute to the Fallen. The program aims to raise awareness and promote conversations surrounding suicide prevention within the community.

The Winfield Fire and Rescue Pancake Supper will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Winfield Fire Station, located at 110 West Ash Street in Winfield. The New London Dollars for Scholars Annual Auction will be held Saturday, March 28th at the Charles Lorber Gymnasium in New London. A loose-meat sandwich meal prepared by the New London Senior Class will be served from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with the live auction beginning at 6:00 p.m. Proceeds support scholarships for New London High School seniors and alumni returning to any post-secondary program.
