The historic Harlan-Lincoln House in Mount Pleasant is open for tours Wednesdays and Saturdays from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. March through October. Located at 101 West Broad Street, the museum highlights the connection between Senator James Harlan and the family of President Abraham Lincoln, featuring artifacts and stories from both families. Donations are appreciated, and additional tour times may be scheduled by appointment.

As part of the Des Moines County Master Gardeners Learning & Discovery series, Des Moines County Iowa State Extension and Outreach is hosting a tree grafting workshop at the Burlington Public Library this Saturday, March 7^th beginning at 3 pm. This presentation is free and open to the public.
