The historic Harlan-Lincoln House in Mount Pleasant is open for tours Wednesdays and Saturdays from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. March through October. Located at 101 West Broad Street, the museum highlights the connection between Senator James Harlan and the family of President Abraham Lincoln, featuring artifacts and stories from both families. Donations are appreciated, and additional tour times may be scheduled by appointment.

As part of the Des Moines County Master Gardeners Learning & Discovery series, Des Moines County Iowa State Extension and Outreach is hosting a tree grafting workshop at the Burlington Public Library this Saturday, March 7th beginning at 3 pm. This presentation is free and open to the public.

Junior Talley’s Illusions of Elvis – Iowa’s best Elvis Tribute Artist, live at the Moose Lodge, 108 N. Saunders Avenue in Mt. Pleasant!  Doors open at 6pm, the show starts at 7pm.  VIP tickets are $20, General Admission tickets are $15. Join Junior and Alisa for a night of fun and great entertainment!  Food and drinks will be available for purchase.  Tickets can be purchased at Brown’s Shoe Fit in Mt.
