The Festival of Lights in Mount Pleasant is open for the holiday season.  See the hundreds of displays set up thru out the Old Threshers campgrounds.  Open 5:30 to 9 pm tonight thru the Thanksgiving holiday weekend and then every night in December. New attractions this year include the new Santa House, the Snow Village collection, horse and wagon rides and trolley rides to the Log Village. Plus…Santa will be in his new house tonight.

The City of Mount Pleasant will pick up leaves on the same day as the city trash pickup the week of November 29.  Please place the bagged leaves on the curb separate from the garbage.  If you don’t use the city trash pickup system you can still put your leaves out.  Check with the public works department or city hall to find out which day the pickup will occur in your neighborhood.
